Dominic Ali is the author of Media Madness: An Insider's Guide to Media. This media literacy book takes young readers behind the scenes to learn how their favorite TV shows, magazines, video games, comic books, and CDs are produced.
Dom frequently writes about pop culture, architecture, and design for U.S. and Canadian media. He has worked for Time magazine's Canadian edition, and the CBC Radio programs As it Happens and Definitely Not the Opera. Dom's radio documentaries have appeared on Outfront, The Sunday Edition, and Studio 360. He has also contributed to publications such as the American Journalism Review, Azure, Dwell, Geist, enRoute, Adbusters, The Trinidad Guardian, and the kids’ magazine OWL.
Dominic has also provided communications support to non-profit organizations such as the David Suzuki Foundation, the World Wildlife Fund (Canada), the Abu Dhabi-based International Renewable Energy Agency, Rio de Janeiro’s Saúde Criança Renascer, and the Toronto Rock Camp. He has written and edited all types of communications materials, including annual reports, press releases, op-eds, brochures, speeches, scripts, and online newsletters.
Dom is currently writing a comedic novel about a young journalist's misadventures in the Caribbean.
